29AugRenovation of 7 Small Group Homes were completed
Seven Small Group Homes in Tseung Kwan O and Lok Fu have completed a refurbishment in this year with the help of more than 150 enthusiastic volunteers from different professions, including Rainbow Police Volunteer Service Group (RPVSG), Blessing Farm Volunteer Service Group, a professional renovation Company, Timberland Volunteer Service Group, HKWMA Chu Shek Lun Secondary School and St. Stephen's Girls' College. They did all things on their own, ranging from wall painting to furniture assembly and installation. The small group homes had been turned brand new and stylish after seven days’ hard work. Dulux has sponsored paints for the renovation of small group homes. Millimeter interior design Ltd provided us with the design of Hau Tak Yan Lok Small Group Home in Tseung Kwan O.
Less fortunate children and young people aged between 4 to 18 living in Small Group Homes are benefitted. Worn out furniture can now be replaced by relatively new, modern and more durable ones and old televisions are now swapped with televisions with better quality and 70 inches to 75 inches in width. All these have brought about a remarkable improvement in the daily living of the children and young people that we look after. We wish to express our gratitude for the generosity of donors and the kind effort of different volunteers.
