The 5th wave of COVID-19 pandemic caused unprecedented challenges to our residential care services in terms of resources and staffing. We are grateful for many kindhearted organizations and individuals which offered their support through in-kind donations during this period. They joined hands with us to support the needy children and youth.

25MarLet’s Go places donation boxes in shop
We would like to express our heartful thanks to Let’s Go for supporting us over the years. Since 2017, Let’s Go has placed donation boxes in its shop to collect donations from the public to support the disadvantaged children and youth of HKSAS. Over $140,000 was raised and the bulk used to purchase brand new computers for the residents of Island Hostel. They continue to actively co-organizing volunteer activities with us, and was presented with our Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2019-2020. Let’s Go’s kindness is helping ignite hope and change lives for children under our care.

09MarGerman-Swiss International School - 2021 CNY Lai See Donation Campaign
HKSAS continued to receive generous support from German-Swiss International School this year. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the School for organizing the CNY Lai See Donation Campaign which raised over $40,000 to support our children and youth development programmes.

13JunLet’s Go donation to Island Hostel in Charity Sale Activity
Let’s Go and artist Leung Ka Ki have supported our Society and cared for our children in Island Hostel continuously. Besides placing donation boxes in Let’s Go shop, Let’s Go initiated the Mother’s Day Charity Sale Activity. They invited artist Leung Ka Ki and Superintendent of IH to hold a live workshop on May 2, 2020.

17JanOpening Ceremony of the Mok Yip Sui Hung Library
With the donation of HK$23.8 million from the Mok Yip Sui Hung Fund, the Society has earmarked $700,000 to refurbish the library of our Hong Kong Student Aid Society Primary School. The refurbishment work was started in last Summer and has now been completed. As a token of appreciation, an Opening Ceremony of the Mok Yip Sui Hung Library cum the celebration of Year of the Rat was held on 17 January 2020.

10Dec「書中自有黃金屋」課外書資助計劃
"Treasure in Books" is a scheme to cultivate children’s interest in reading books and promote reading atmosphere in our homes by organizing book shopping activities to be held every quarter. We believe with the help from generous donors and the public, our children may choose their favorite extracurricular books, enjoy reading fun and possibly change in life. Please show your support and spread the love!

22JunThank you for supporting the Hong Kong Student Aid Society’s Territory-wide Flag Day (22 June, 2019)
On behalf of the children and families who are helped, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the flag sellers and volunteers for their enthusiastic participation in the Territory-wide Flag Day held on 22 June 2019 organized by the Society to raise fund for "Family Energy" to enhance family harmony and reduce domestic violence and child abuse. We are committed to making good use of every dollar we raised to help children and families in need.

06MayMusic Boysenberry Charity Concert came to a successful end
Music Boysenberry Charity Concert was held at the Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, on 6 May 2018, to raise fund for the “Reprovisioning of Tung Wan Mok Law Shui Wah School and Island Hostel”. The charity concert came to a successful end with a full house of audience and excellent feedback from them.

05MayRehearsals of Music Boysenberry Charity Concert
Rehearsals were arranged in April and May to prepare for and promote the Music Boysenberry Charity Concert to be taken place at the Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, on 6 May 2018. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the kind participation of all the performers of the charity concert.

16Apr“Red Packet Money” donation by the German-Swiss International School
German-Swiss International School continued to organize a “Red Packet Money” donation activity in 2018. Students of the School donated their red packet money to support the less fortunate children in the Society. We would like to express our heartiest thanks to them.

04AprMusic Boysenberry Charity Concert
The Society and Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association (樂樂國樂團) is going to organize the “Music Boysenberry Charity Concert” at 7:30pm on May 6, 2018 (Sunday) at Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The fund raised will be used for the reprovisioning of our Tung Wan Mok Law Shui Wah School & Island Hostel. Tickets are now on sale at Cityline. Please give your every support to students with special education needs and less fortunate children. (The event came to a successfully end, thank you for your enthusiastic support!)
