21AugHKSAS 60th Anniversary Commemorative Drama “Who Will Love Me” Came to a Successful End
2017 marks the 60th Anniversary of the Society. A commemorative drama titled “Who Will Love Me” was shown from 9 to 11 August 2017 at the Concert Hall, Hong Kong City Hall. The drama, directed by Yeung Siu Hung, is performed by famous artists such as Lam Wai Sun, Ngai Chau Wah, Fung So Bor, Ng Yuen Yee, Lau Shek Yin, alongside with former and present service users of the Society. The drama came to a successful end with an aggregate of nearly 3,000 audiences in three evening shows and very positive feedback.
A simple and grand ceremony was held in the first show to give thanks to the enthusiastic support of our sponsors and Gary Yeung, director of the drama, and also the superb efforts of the actors and actresses. Moreover, it is our great honour to have the kind presence of Mr Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR, and his wife on August 11. His coming is a great encouragement to all the artists and our children performers. We will continue to uphold “All for Children”, continuously enhance our services to help the less fortunate children, young people and their families.
“Who Will Love Me” is a sequel of the Society’s drama "Somewhere My Love" on show in 2011. The drama takes place in a residential home for children and young people. Every child there has their own heart-breaking story. The drama is made up by different true, touching and spell-binding stories which depict another side of the prosperous Hong Kong society.
