Hong Kong Student Aid Society was founded in 1957 with the mission to provide needy children and youth with foster care, residential, education and community development services. We have over 5,000 registered users served by more than 250 employees. We operate 3 residential hostels, 7 small group homes and 3 schools. We receive lump sum grants from the Social Welfare Department and funds from other government departments, private donors and other sources. Our annual expenditure is about HK$217 million.

Assistant Accounting Officer (HO/AAO/2026006)
The successful candidate will report to Assistant Accounting Manager and be responsible for the following areas:
Responsibilities:
- - Perform accounting functions in handling full set of accounts of services units and educational sector.
- - Manage daily accounting duties including A/P, A/R, pocket money, general ledger, accounts reconciliations.
- - Perform donation handling to ensure correctness and validity of donation receipts and official receipts.
- - Assist to prepare the documents of regular internal financial audit of the Society.
- - Assist Supervisor in the preparation of Financial Statements, Bank Reconciliations, Monthly Schedule and Analysis Reports.
- - Assist to follow up Accounts Receivables invoices & settlement of Account Payables invoices.
- - Handle bank payment and receipt including cheque issuance, pocket money and petty cash frequently.
- - Assist in month-end, year-end closing and annual statutory audit and event audit by preparing audit schedules and reports.
- - Assist in budget planning and forecast.
- - Prepare the donor reporting pack by compiling financial information and supporting.
- - Assist in annual statutory audit and event audit by preparing audit schedules and reports.
- - Perform assigned ad-hoc duties and supporting tasks.
- - Assist preparation of payroll and input of HR software Flex system.
- - Support ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.
Requirements:
- - Diploma or above in Accounting or related discipline.
- - 5 years of relevant working experience.
- - Proficiency in PC operation, including Chinese input, Word and Excel.
- - Self-motivated, mature, able to work under pressure, persistent, good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
- - Candidate with more experience and qualification will be considered as Accounting Officer.
