Hong Kong Student Aid Society was founded in 1957 with the mission to provide needy children and youth with foster care, residential, education and community development services. We have over 5,000 registered users served by more than 250 employees. We operate 3 residential hostels, 7 small group homes and 3 schools. We receive lump sum grants from the Social Welfare Department and funds from other government departments, private donors and other sources. Our annual expenditure is about HK$217 million.

Project Manager (HO/PM/2026044)

 

The Hong Kong Student Aid Society Limited (“HKSAS”) will launch Financial Fitness Lab, a 12-month youth development project funded by The Hongkong Bank Foundation, with HSBC Trustee (Hong Kong) Limited acting as trustee of the Foundation. The project aims to strengthen the financial capability, resilience and future readiness of disadvantaged youths and youths with special educational needs in residential care. Through financial decision-making workshops, life simulation activities, individual financial readiness reviews and coaching, participants will develop practical skills in budgeting, saving, managing expenses, distinguishing needs from wants and making responsible financial decisions, preparing them for adulthood and more independent living.

 

The project will primarily serve participants from Holland Hostel, including youths from low-income families and youths with special educational needs. A designated Project Manager will coordinate the overall implementation, deliver and support individual coaching, monitor participants’ progress and collaborate with hostel staff, external facilitators, volunteers and corporate partners.

 

Responsibilities:

  • - Plan, coordinate and monitor the overall implementation of Financial Fitness Lab, including participant grouping, programme scheduling, procurement and progress monitoring.
  • - Organise and support financial decision-making workshops, life simulation activities, individual financial readiness reviews and coaching. Assist in assessment, case intake, programme evaluation and preparation of reports and statistics.
  • - Assess participants’ needs, monitor their progress and provide appropriate support to disadvantaged youths and youths with special educational needs.
  • - Liaise with hostel staff, external facilitators, service providers, HSBC volunteers and community partners regarding programme arrangements and follow-up.
  • - Coordinate the Open Day and Youth Project Showcase, including youth participation, volunteer engagement and event logistics.
  • - Maintain project records, participant data, evaluation results and financial information, and prepare reports, statistics and presentation materials.
  • - Handle project administration and financial duties, including quotations, procurement, reimbursement, budget monitoring and audit preparation.
  • - Support project-related fundraising, corporate partnership development, social media, marketing and publicity, including preparing proposals, donor updates and impact stories.

 

Requirements:

 

  • - Bachelor’s degree or above in social work, psychology, youth work, education, marketing, communications or a related discipline.
  • - Relevant experience in youth service, programme coordination, case support, project implementation, fundraising, marketing or communications. Experience with disadvantaged youths or youths with special educational needs is an advantage.
  • - Strong project management, stakeholder coordination, administrative and budgetmonitoring skills.
  • - Ability to translate programme outcomes into clear donor reports, proposals, publicity content and social media materials.
  • - Good written and spoken Chinese and English.
  • - Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently and collaboratively across service and fundraising teams.
  • - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, when required.

Contract Period: 1 September 2026 to 31August 2027
